LORI LANPHER LCDC-I

Born in North Carolina and raised in Plano, our founder Lori Lanpher, LCDC-I, is a poignant and driven advocate for women who has turned her passion into a measure of success by bringing The Butterfly Way to the DFW metroplex. Lori was involved in athletics in her early years and went on to study at Southwest Texas State and North Texas State University respectively. Lori married and became a mother to three boys until eventually, serious problems stemming from alcohol and addiction led to family trouble and several trips to court. Having surrendered to the recovery process, Lori attained the gift of recovery in 2011, and carried with her a vision of giving other women a recovery platform to reinvent themselves and find safety and connection in a community that cherishes recovery. That vision became The Butterfly Way and it has become a staple in Dallas for aftercare for women and provides a needed and valuable service to those suffering addiction who are striving for a better way of life. Lori is a dedicated mother who, in her spare, time is an avid reader of spiritual literature, a seeker of deeper spirituality and who has a passion for recovery.

JOELLEN WALTER LPC-Intern

Joellen Walter is a certified personal trainer, a sober woman and a licensed professional counseling intern. She has worked with professionals and individuals trying to find a healthy balance between work, self care and home.

If you struggle with trauma, mental illness, or addiction then she can understand and help you find congruency in your life. Joellen knows that counseling is often scary and misunderstood endeavor. Her goal is not to “fix” you but rather to act as a support system and sounding board to bring you to a level of internal congruency which allows you to feel whole again. Life can be hard and walking the journey alone can be depressing and lonely.
